Dedicated on May 6, 1890, Osceola's historic red-brick courthouse has the honor of being the oldest courthouse in Florida that remains in use for judicial purposes.
With a burgeoning population in the mid-1990s, court facilities were pushed well beyond the point of capacity until the present Osceola Courthouse was completed in 2001.
