Photos of the new appointees to the Ninth Circuit Bench

Governor Ron DeSantis has made three appointments to the Ninth’s circuit court and one to the Orange County court.

Judge Christine Arendas will now serve as a judge on the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court. Judge Arendas earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and her juris doctor from Barry University before her time as a Solo Practitioner at Adoption, Surrogacy and Family Law Firm, P.A. And, in 2019, she ran for election for a seat on the Osceola County bench and won. She fills the judicial vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Alice Blackwell.

Judge Hal Epperson, Jr., will now serve as a judge on the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court. Judge Epperson earned his bachelor’s degree and juris doctor from Stetson University before becoming an Assistant State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit. In 2007, he joined the Osceola County bench, where he’s served in both the civil and criminal divisions. He fills the judicial vacancy created by the elevation of Judge Paetra Brownlee.

Judge Brian Sandor will now serve as a judge on the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court. Judge Sandor is a graduate of the University of Central Florida for his bachelor’s degree and Michigan State University for his juris doctor. Prior to joining the bench, he was an attorney at Morgan & Morgan, P.A. And, in 2021, he was appointed to the Orange County bench. He fills the judicial vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Tarlika Nunez-Navarro.

Judge Cherish Adams will serve as a judge on the Orange County Court. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Elmira College and her juris doctor from George Washington University, before joining the state attorney’s office in the Ninth Judicial Circuit. Since 2022, she has served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit. She fills the judicial vacancy created by the elevation of Judge Elizabeth Gibson.
