But, did you also know that he was the first prosecutor to successfully win a conviction using DNA evidence? Or that he is a best-selling author? Or a devoted father to seven children? Having run for a circuit judgeship in 2018 and winning, Jeff Ashton is now Judge Ashton. Former Chief Judge and Moderator
Judge Fred Lauten served in the Ninth Circuit from 1994 to 2019. Between 2015 and 2019, he served as Chief Judge of the Circuit.
Circuit Judge
Judge Ashton was elected to the Circuit bench in 2018. He currently serves in the Orange County Circuit Civil Division.
