Court Program Specialist II - Civil Case Manager

Position description

The Ninth Circuit Court seeks a self-starting professional to serve as a Court Program Specialist II – Civil Case Manager. This position is headquartered at the Osceola County Courthouse and provides clerical and administrative support to the civil Judges and JA’s through case management, preparing proposed orders and conforming and mailing copies of orders to attorneys and litigants. The role will specifically generate case management orders for cases determined to be complex, streamlined or general. The ideal candidate will have the ability to exercise a high degree of judgment, tact, and diplomacy, be self-motivated and have the ability to work both independently and in a team setting. Knowledge of foreclosure documents and procedures and/or civil law, court rules and procedures is a plus. This is an excellent entry level position for someone interested in the law and considering a career path with the court.

Bachelor’s Degree and two years of experience in administrative/clerical support is preferred. Progressively responsible experience may substitute for the recommended education on a year-for-year basis. This is a grant funded, State OPS (Other Personnel Services), position starting at $17.36/hour funded through January 30, 2022, but may be extended if other funding sources come available. OPS hourly employees may be eligible for insurance coverage. No holiday pay, sick or vacation time accrued. This position is full time 40 hours per week with all work performed on site. Anticipated start date: April 12, 2021.
