Position description

The Court Program Specialist II position assists the Alternative Dispute Resolution Center Director with program administration and evaluation. This position helps to coordinate both County and Family Mediation Programs and assists with special projects and reports. Duties include processing county court cases that are mediated through the department, including preparation of proposed defaults and dismissals for judge’s signature, preparation of county mediation docket, follow-up on mediation payments, calendaring system and scheduling of rule to show cause hearings, and processing end of day files for family mediations.

This position requires a high volume of customer service to the public, other departments, mediators and volunteers. Skill in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing. Candidate must be proficient in use of Microsoft and database applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. A Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, social work, law or a closely related field, plus three years of related experience is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for required education on a year-for-year basis. Bilingual in Spanish desirable. State funded position with benefits.
