Court Program Specialist I - Human Resources

Position description

This position is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Department. Administer the recruitment and hiring process, including setting interviews, and conducting the onboarding process. Perform routine tasks, such as screening telephone calls/visitors, prepare correspondence, distribute mail, photocopy, send faxes, and process Orange County and OPS payrolls. Must have excellent verbal and communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft computer programs. Effective use of business English, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Ability to handle sensitive matters with integrity and confidentiality concerning sensitive information. Must be able to exercise independent judgement. Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, coworkers, government officials, and the public. Requires knowledge of Employment Law, FML, ADA and Workers Compensation. Associate’s degree. Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis. One year of experience in business administration, paralegal, secretarial skills or a closely related field. Additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis, excluding supervisory experience.
