This position is responsible for case management and processing of family law cases. The role provides clerical and administrative support to court programs and services and works directly with the general public. Job duties include handling a high volume of phone calls, conducting intensive case management research, preparing notices and proposed orders, report generation and records management.
The chosen candidate will have the ability to exercise a high degree of judgment, tact and diplomacy while also maintaining strict confidentiality on sensitive issues. Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated, but also must work closely with others. Knowledge of family forms and procedures and/or family law, court rules and procedures, and case management experience is a plus. The ideal candidate must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, criminal justice, and legal studies, psychology, sociology, or closely related preferred. Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis.
