Position description

The Court Program Specialist I position is responsible for processing of civil cases. Provides clerical and administrative support to the Circuit Judges; working directly with judges, managing cases, preparing proposed orders and conforming and mailing copies of orders to attorneys and litigants. The position is also responsible for reviewing civil case activity reports for purposes of generating lack of prosecution notices and orders. The selected candidate will have the ability to exercise a high degree of judgment, tact, and diplomacy, be self-motivated and have the ability to work both independently and in a team setting. Must maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of foreclosure documents and procedures and/or civil law, court rules and procedures is a plus. Bachelor’s Degree and two years of experience in administrative/clerical support is required. Progressively responsible experience may substitute for the recommended education on a year-for-year basis. State funded, OPS (Other Personnel Services), $14.58/hr. OPS/Variable hour employees may be eligible for insurance coverage. No holiday pay, sick or vacation time accrued. This position is part-time 20 hours per week for an indefinite period
