Court Program Specialist I – Communications

Position description

The Court Program Specialist I – Communications (OPS) position assists with all aspects of the court’s communications efforts while maintaining style, format, and brand consistency across digital and print platforms. The position offers an excellent entry level opportunity for the right candidate interested in supporting draft content for social media, press releases, brochures, manuals, announcements and invitations. The role will be involved in researching topics and personalities for the circuit’s podcast and audio profiles; supporting graphic layout, photography and videography; assisting with coordination and scheduling of judicial events and outreach. The ideal candidate will have experience and training in copywriting, project conceptualization, print and web layout, proofreading and editing. Must have a working knowledge of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus. Associates Degree or 2 years of completed course work toward a public relations, journalism, social media or related communications degree preferred. Students encouraged to apply.

This is a State funded position. OPS (Other Personnel Services), $15.28/hr. OPS/Variable hour employees may be eligible for insurance coverage. No holiday pay, sick or vacation time accrued. Up to 40 hours per week except for holiday weeks for an indefinite period.
