Position description
The Ninth Circuit Court has a very progressive communications department that stands as a nation-wide leader for court related outreach. This includes web development, live streaming, social media and podcast production. The Court Program Specialist I – Communications assists in the development, implementation, and monitoring of various communications projects in support of the court’s mission and public information objectives. The position will serve as a generalist with direct involvement in print, audio, video, social media and public event coordination. The ideal candidate will have experience and training in copywriting, project conceptualization, print and web layout, proofreading and editing. Applicants must have the desire to learn and work across multiple communications platforms. Preferred Associates Degree or 2 years of completed course work toward a public relations, journalism, social media or related communications degree. Students encouraged to apply.
This is a State funded positon. OPS (Other Personnel Services), $14.58/hr. OPS/Variable hour employees may be eligible for insurance coverage. No holiday pay, sick or vacation time accrued. Up to 40 hours per week except for holiday weeks for an indefinite period.
