The Ninth Judicial Circuit Court is seeking an Assistant Teen Court Coordinator to assists in the daily operation for the daily operation of the Teen Court Diversion Program ensuring that all aspects of the program are handled consistently, proficiently and with the utmost discretion. This is an excellent role for the right candidate, interested in supporting youth achievement and growth through a very effective court program.
Duties include assisting the Teen Court Coordinator in the daily administrative functions of the program to include complete case management functions, performing a variety of support functions, receiving telephone inquiries, generating various correspondence and the collection and preparation of various statistical data. Work will include dealing with confidential juvenile cases, as well as supervision over juvenile offenders in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulatory requirements. This position is also responsible for performing a variety of critical record keeping duties to include monitoring and tracking of offender volunteer community service hours and other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, be able to work closely with others, be detail oriented and have a proven ability to adhere to strict confidentiality in the workplace. The role requires excellent computer skills and an ability to quickly acquire and work proficiently with a variety of computer programs. Must have superior organizational skills and a capacity to interact professionally and effectively with others, to include; coworkers, government officials, law enforcement, youth and their families, and other outside agency staff. Knowledge of Teen Court case management and rehabilitation principles, practices, procedures, terminology and systems. Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local rules, regulations, and ordinances, as well as available community resources and social services. A High School Diploma or GED, supplemented by four (4) years responsible experience in a Teen Court program, social service program, or Court related program; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training and/or experience. This position is an Osceola County funded position with benefits headquartered at the Osceola County Courthouse. SHIFT: Mostly days with some evenings required.
